Limassol Marina: Celebrating its Official Opening

On the evening of June 19, major stakeholders of both the public and private sector congregated at the Limassol Marina to usher in a new era for this seaside town and, some maintain, for Cyprus as a whole.

Described as being one of the most ambitious projects in Cyprus to date, the Limassol Marina has continued its development irrespective of the ongoing crisis, coming formally to fruition just a day after Cyprus reentered the international financial markets.

Of its official inauguration, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Limassol Marina Ltd, Marios E. Lantitis stated: “Limassol Marina is an incredibly unique development, one that is significantly boosting the competitiveness of the Cypriot economy, further improving its image, creating new job opportunities, upgrading the area of the historic centre of Limassol and offering an incentive for investments in the wider region.”

Following Lanitis’ address, President Nicos Anastasiades and the shareholders of the project unveiled the inaugural plaque, marking the official opening of Limassol Marina.

To commemorate the event, Gold News presents a selection of official photographs from the evening for your viewing pleasure.
