Public Consultation For 'Glamping' Bill Ongoing

A public consultation has been ongoing in Cyprus since June 7 on a bill, which would regulate the operation of tourism camping sites and luxury camping sites, known as "glamping", the Deputy Ministry of Tourism announced.

The bill is set to introduce new provisions modernising the exiting regulatory framework in Cyprus, including provisions which would regulate the operation of luxury camping sites, known as "glamping", "a new international trend in tourism, which has been growing rapidly around the world and has to do with a luxury stay in the countryside," the Ministry said in a press release.

Interested parties can access the draft bill from www.tourism.gov.cy  and submit their views and observations until July 31, 2021, it added.
