Christos Yiacoumis Joins Kyndryl

Christos Yiacoumis has recently joined the team of Kyndryl, the largest provider of IT infrastructure services in the world, as part of the continuous strengthening and upgrading of the company in Cyprus and across the region. Christos takes on the role of CEE&EM Security Associate Partner and will have an expanded role for the CEE and Eastern Mediterranean region, with the aim of helping Kyndryl capitalize on new opportunities arising from strategic partnerships with Digital Security clients in areas such as the public, the banking and private sector.

"We are very happy with the addition of Christos to our team and we are confident that he will contribute to the further sustainable development of Kyndryl at the regional level. It is one of our goals to give such opportunity to Greek and Cypriot experts to have roles outside Greece and Cyprus to get involved in international projects and to take advantage of Kyndryl's unified model and Client Innovation Centers," commented Apostolos Leonidhopoulos, Managing Director of Kyndryl Greece and Cyprus.

On his part, Christos Yiacoumis commented, "I am excited to now be part of the Kyndryl team, one of the largest IT service providers locally as well as regionally. My goal is to contribute to efforts to position the company at the forefront of major digital transformation projects in both public and private sectors, with cyber security and resilience being a business enabler.

Yiacoumis has more than 15 years of relevant experience in the field of Information Security specializing in providing consulting services to local and international clients to develop and strengthen their organizations' cyber security and resilience. Prior to joining Kyndryl, he was Director and head of Cyber Security & Digital Trust services at KPMG Cyprus. He previously worked at Thales e-Security in the UK for three years as a Software Engineer in the Research and Development department. He holds a BSc in Computer Science/Software Engineering with Business Studies and an MSc in Computer Security from the University of Birmingham in the UK.
