On Monday, November 29, the AWS re:Invent 2022 opened its doors to the global cloud community to celebrate its successes over the year, showcase the power of the cloud, and introduce a slew of new solutions and upgrades.
GOLD magazine is in the US to cover the event, which spans six venues on the famous Las Vegas strip, and will run until Friday, November 2. So, look out for articles in the upcoming issue of GOLD magazine and on our website to learn about exciting developments emerging from the happening, which is being attended by 50,000 AWS customers, partners, and cloud computing enthusiasts, as well as 300,000 virtual attendees.
As GOLD can report, attendees have access to visit hundreds of vendor areas from AWS partners, experience AWS technologies that have yet to be seen on the market, including interactive tech demos, a robotic bar-keep, and a basketball free-throw analyser, and network with thousands of IT professionals and cloud experts. AWS had designed an in-person program with nearly 2,3000 sessions, which will be live streamed.
Throughout the week, there will be five keynotes and 22 leadership sessions from AWS leaders, including Adam Selipsky, the cloud computing giant’s CEO, who is hosting the event for a second year running, after taking over from Adam Jassy in 2021. He will unveil exciting new cloud-based applications and upgrades, while sharing inspiring customer stories. Other keynote speakers include Senior Vice President of AWS Utility Computing Peter DeSantis, CTO Dr. Werner Vogels, Vice President of AWS Worldwide Channels and Alliances Ruba Borno, and Vice President of AWS Database, Analytics, and Machine Learning Swami Sivasubramanian.
The event also offers a learning experience via builder laps, boot camps, gamified learning, and hundreds of technical sessions.
