Greek Prime Minister meets US President Biden at the White House

The meeting of the two leaders also raised the issue of Turkish provocation and overflights and as government sources stated, "expansion and revisionism have no place in a global landscape that has become more complex after Ukraine." Gas was another issue discussed by Mitsotakis and Biden, namely the idea of ​​a ceiling, something that will be done in coordination with the United States, while in the first phase a first coordination is done at the level of the European Commission.

According to diplomatic sources, the meeting between the two men was also attended by the President's advisor on energy issues, Trick Hawkstein, while according to information, the Greek Prime Minister will appoint Nikos Tsafos as special advisor on energy issues. Regarding the East Med pipeline, according to the same sources, Mitsotakis expressed the desire for Greece to be a gateway for natural gas from the Eastern Mediterranean, while stressing that Greece could supply Ukraine with natural gas.
