Cypriot FM Invites Egyptian Counterpart To Nicosia

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikos Christodoulides, extended an invitation to his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry to visit Nicosia in the coming period.

The two Ministers had a telephone conversation on Wednesday, in the framework of continuous consultations and close relations that bind the two friendly countries.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spokesperson, Ambassador Ahmed Hafez, stated that the two Ministers discussed various aspects of bilateral cooperation and follow-up on the results of the Higher Governmental Committee between the two countries at the Presidential level, which was held for the first time in Cairo on September 4, 2021.

In this regard, the Cypriot Minister invited Minister Shoukry to visit Cyprus during the coming period.

Ambassador Hafez added that the two Ministers discussed the latest developments regarding a number of regional and international issues of mutual concern.
