The Cyprus Bar Association (CBA): Legal Gala Dinner 2022

The Cyprus Bar Association (CBA) is organizing the Legal Gala Dinner 2022, set to take place on Thursday, 3 February 2022 at 19:30, at the Hilton Nicosia. The dinner aims to establish a gathering of all Cyprus Bar Association members and to portray the increasingly important role of Cyprus’ legal profession in the Economy of Cyprus.

 

The Cyprus Bar Association is the professional body of lawyers with 4390 members. Cyprus Bar Association was established under the Advocates Law Chapter 2 in 1960 and it has been operating since then. It is the Regulatory Body and among its powers is to maintain the honour and independence of the Bar and its defence in relation to the judiciary and the executive and to regulate the practice and etiquette of the profession. It is the competent authority for lawyers under Cyprus legislation in accordance with section 59 (4) of the Prevention and Suppression of Money Laundering of Money Laundering Activities Law of 2007 (L. 188 (I)/2007) as amended. The Cyprus Bar Association is a member of the Council of the European Bar Association (CCBE) and a member of the International Bar Association (IBA).

 

The Gala Dinner will kick off with an exclusive networking experience which provides an exceptional opportunity to meet and lobby with over 400 high-level C-suite executives, top lawyers, business leaders, government officials and members of the Cyprus Bar Association. The Legal Gala Dinner 2022 will host a very special keynote speaker, Richard Susskind, Author, Speaker, and Independent Adviser to major professional firms and to national governments / guru in the future of professional service and on legal technology, who will inspire the audience with his ideas on innovative and strategic developments in the financial services sector.

 

The Gala Dinner is addressed to all Cyprus Bar Association members, Board Members, CEOs, Managing Directors, Chairpersons and other senior management executives from all legal firms in Cyprus. The Gala Dinner will also welcome politicians, diplomats, government officials and professionals from other related sectors of the economy.
