On September, Wednesday 8, under the auspices of President Nicos Anastasiades, the ceremony for the 9th Invest Cyprus International Investment Awards took place in the lawns of the Presidential Palace, celebrating foreign companies for the investments they made and their contribution to the business world of the country.
Easybrain was one of the companies to receive an award. Easybrain, a developer of best-selling mobile logic puzzle games, was founded in 2016 by Peter Skoromnyi, Matvey Timoshenko and Oleg Grushevich. Now a rapidly growing company, headquartered in Limassol with an additional office in Belarus, it delivers time-tested market leaders such as Sudoku.com, Nonogram.com, Jigsaw Puzzles, Pixel Art and more.
To date, its products have had more than 900 million total downloads and are enjoyed by up to 12 million daily active users over 15 live games. In 2021, Easybrain merged with Embracer Group, the parent company of various businesses developing and publishing PC, console and mobile games for the global games market. Within Embracer, Easybrain continues to operate as an independent developer and publisher, focused on mobile games. Cyprus was identified as the ideal location for Easybrain due to its well-developed business infrastructure, excellent climate, a high-standard business environment attracting top talent, as well as its strong IT community. Easybrain believes in supporting local community activities, which is why, at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, the company donated €100,000 to the Treasury of the Republic and, in July 2021, it committed €100,000 in financial support following the devastating wildfire in the Limassol and Larnaca districts.
