CIFA’s Inaugural Event: A Night to be Remembered

The Cyprus Investment Funds Association (CIFA) – which has recently been accepted as a member by the European Fund and Asset Management Association (EFAMA) – hosted its inaugural event to great acclaim on Monday evening, July 7, at the Presidential Palace in Nicosia.

President Nicos Anastasiades was present to officially address the event, alongside Marios Demetriades, Minister of Communications and Works and one of the founding members of CIFA, as well as Chrisodoulos Angastiniotis, Chairman of the Cyprus Investment Promotion Agency.

The President of CIFA, Angelos Gregoriades, made a keynote address about the Cyprus Funds Industry, proclaiming it a promising sector for economic recovery, whilst Agathi Pafili, Senior Regulatory Policy Advisor of EFAMA delivered a keynote address on the role of EFAMA in supporting the European Funds Industry and National Associations.

CIFA’s overall purpose and aspiration is to become the collective voice and the reference point for all professionals and legal entities, offering services or engaged in the Investment Funds Industry in Cyprus. Its mission includes:

•    Help its members capitalise on industry trends;

•    Shape regulation;

•    Enhance professionalism, integrity and quality;

•    Promote the Cyprus Investments Fund Industry.

To commemorate this landmark event, Gold News has prepared a series of photographs from the evening for your viewing pleasure.

The event was organised for CIFA by IMH, publisher of Gold magazine.
