BSM Supports Maritime Cyprus 2015

A strong supporter from the initial stages of the internationally renowned exhibition Maritime Cyprus, given its presence of over 40 years on the island and as part of the Cyprus shipping community, Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement (Cyprus) Ltd. was present once again at this year’s instalment of the biennial event, as an exhibitor.

This year’s conference, with the theme “Game Change”, was held from 13-16 September 2015, at the Evagoras Lanitis Centre in Limassol. The conference attracted distinguished speakers and over 700 shipping delegates from all over the world.

During the “Maritime Services Exhibition”, which was part of the conference with over 40 exhibitors, the BSM stand was visited by the Minister of Transport, Communications and Works Marios Demetriades, the General Secretary of the International Maritime Organization Koji Sekimizu, a large number of high-level representatives from BSM’s offices worldwide, many customers and partners as well as local and international media.

Given the occasion of Maritime Cyprus, BSM Cyprus along with Hanseatic Chartering hosted a hospitality event on 15 September at its new BSM Maritime Training Centre close to the new marina, participated by over 300 guests.

The reception was addressed by the Managing Director of BSM Cyprus, Arthur McWhinnie, and was attended by customers and partners of the company as well as distinguished personalities from all sectors of the shipping industry, such as Demetriades, the Mayor of Limassol Andreas Christou, high officials from the Department of Merchant Shipping of Cyprus, the Cyprus Shipping Chamber, the Cyprus Union of Shipowners, and representatives from shipping and management companies.

On the following slides, Gold News presents a visual summary of BSM’s presence at the event.
