DLS: Foreign Property Buyers Drop By 8.4% in July

The number of foreign property buyers dropped 8.4 per cent in July to 87 compared with the respective month of 2016, the Department of Lands and Surveys said.

From January to July, the total number of real properties that went into hands of non-Cypriots rose 1.2 per cent to 543 compared with the respective period of 2016, the department said in statement on its website, Cyprus Mail reports. Limassol attracted 165 foreign buyers, lured to the property market also with visa and naturalisation schemes, followed by Paphos with 114.

Total property transactions rose an annual 18 per cent in July to 739 and 20 per cent in January to July to 4,349, according to a separate statement.
