Odyssey Receives Two Distinctions for ClearSkies™ Big Data Advanced Security Analytics Platform

The conclusion of yet another very productive and creative year was met with two important distinctions for Odyssey towards the end of 2018.

Odyssey received the prestigious Cyprus Innovation Award in the services sector in the 12th Cyprus Innovation Awards Competition for its home-grown ClearSkies™ Big Data Advanced Security Analytics Platform.

The award was presented by The President of the Republic of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiades, the President of the Employers & Industrialist Federation Christos Michaelides, and the President of the Competition Evaluation Committee, Kyriakos Kokkinos, in a special ceremony conducted at the THOC Central Stage in Nicosia on Monday 26 November.

Organized by the Employers and Industrialists Federation (OEB) and convened under the auspices of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, the Cyprus Innovation Awards competition was established in 2006 to award the most innovative ideas and practices that form the backbone of the Cyprus economy.

Along with the Cyprus Innovation Award for Services, Odyssey was also honored with the Innovator Award 2018 at the 20th Infocom World Conference in Athens a week earlier. This distinction again referred to ClearSkies™ Big Data Advanced Security Analytics Platform. It is worth mentioning that the purpose of the Infocom World Awards is rewarding all those who have contributed with their creativity and passion to the growth of the market, and to the development of technology. The awards are dispensed by the organizational committee which is comprised of journalists specializing in the technology field, academics, as well as independent entities involved in technology in general.

Christos Onoufriou, CEO, stated “Odyssey’s unwavering goal is to remain abreast of the ever-changing threat landscape, which necessitates research and development of innovative products and services that can help organizations address ever-increasing cybersecurity challenges. These two new distinctions of Odyssey in Cyprus and Greece, overwhelm us with satisfaction and pride, rewarding the efforts and the aptitudes of our people, and honor our customers who are an integral part of our success. These awards fuel our drive, determination and aspiration to continue setting the bar even higher.”
