EY Named World’s #1 Professional Services Employer in Universum’s ‘World’s Most Attractive Employers’ Annual Ranking

EY Named World’s #1 Professional Services Employer in Universum’s ‘World’s Most Attractive Employers’ Annual Ranking

EY has been named the world’s most attractive professional services employer for the third consecutive year – and the third most attractive employer overall – in Universum’s annual “World’s Most Attractive Employers” ranking. Universum’s 2018 ranking is based on a survey of more than 228,910 business, engineering and IT students from the top academic institutions across 12 of the world’s largest economies.

In this year’s survey, EY was ranked #1 professional services employer in four countries: US, Canada, Russia and India. Additionally, this year, EY has improved its ranking by 24% on Universum’s top 50 list of global employers for engineering and IT students, moving up from number 49 to number 37 overall. Last year was the first time EY was named in Universum’s top 50 ranking for engineering and IT students.

Stavros Pantzaris, EY Cyprus Country Managing Partner, says:

“It is a great honor for all of us at EY to be named the world’s most attractive professional services employer by Universum for the third consecutive year. We strongly believe that it is equally important to offer an exceptional experience for both our clients and our people. We are investing in our people to showcase their talents and abilities and to develop tomorrow's leaders, able to offer solutions to contemporary problems and to help create a better working world.”

Approximately US$500m has been invested in training and more than 13 million formal hours in learning have been conducted, with a continued focus on emerging technology training throughout the organization. Last year, EY also introduced new programs to prepare for the future of work, including LEAD, a new global model for career development and performance, and a digital credentials program known as EY Badges to help EY people cultivate skills related to emerging technology, innovation and sectors.

Andreas Avraamides, Partner and Head of Assurance Services at EY Cyprus, says:

“In order to meet the ever changing needs of our organization and of our clients, at EY we continually evolve and transform the way we operate. We invest in emerging technologies and new workforce programs aiming to equip our people with the technical skills they need to develop their careers and help our customers overcome the toughest challenges. We are extremely proud to be at the top of Universum's ranking once again! Our goal is to continue to attract top talent and create opportunities so that our people can evolve constantly and continue to realize the value of their EY experience."

There are more than 260,000 EY people in more than 150 countries around the world, with combined global revenues of US$34.8b in FY18.
