BoC Presents 3rd International Compliance Forum

BoC Presents 3rd International Compliance Forum

Bank of Cyprus is presenting the 3rd International Compliance Forum on Friday, 6th October 2017 at the Hilton Park Hotel in Nicosia offering an opportunity to meet and network with like-minded peers and senior executives in the field.

The continuous evolution in the legal, regulatory and corporate governance framework on an international level has rendered the importance of an effective compliance function a strategic objective for all corporations. The ultimate objective of today’s compliance sector is for companies to establish a corporate culture of ethics which reflects the core principles of integrity, transparency, confidentiality and accountability. With this in mind, IMH and GOLD magazine are organizing the forum is to help promote an organized local corporate culture of values that will ultimately help conform to the broader international regulatory compliance framework. The title of the 3rd International Compliance Forum "Orchestrating a Culture of Values" reflects the complexity and diversity of competencies and skills required for establishing and maintaining a successful compliance function.

This year’s event will feature a stellar line-up of prominent international figures in the field of regulatory compliance to present and discuss all the latest developments in the field. More specifically, the forum will address issues of corporate governance, anti-financial crime and technology as a tool to help manage compliance risk. Moreover, the forum will touch upon the composition and functioning of Boards of Directors. The event will close with a panel discussion of prestigious regulators from around the globe, including participants from the U.S. Department of the Treasury and the European Central Bank.

The forum is addressed to professionals and more specifically, to senior executives in the broad regulatory compliance field. It will bring together not only banking and other financial institutions, insurance companies, investment firms, fiduciary service providers, trust service providers and wealth management firms; but also accounting/audit/tax firms, law firms and company formation and administration firms. The event will welcome various local and European regulatory bodies, as well as relevant governmental authorities and jurisdictions.  Experts and consultants on quality assurance and other related issues are also welcome.
