BKR International EMEA Regional Conference

BKR International EMEA Regional Conference

The BKR International EMEA region recently hosted their annual conference in Limassol, Cyprus. Some 80 delegates and 26 companions were in attendance for this three-day event which ran from 26th-28th May 2018.

Our local member firm, Euroglobal SEE hosted the conference and the EMEA board would like to offer their thanks to them for making this conference such a success.

Business sessions ran on 24th and 26th May and delegates had a chance to see the sights of Cyprus on Sunday 25th May with a social programme that took full advantage of Cyprus’ unique history and Mediterranean culture.

During the meeting we were able to say farewell and offer our thanks to Maureen Schwartz, BKR’s longstanding worldwide executive director. In addition, we thanked Arcangelo Agogliati for his two-year term as Chair of the EMEA region.

BKR International also presented its annual scholarship at the conference to Andri Argyridou, a Cyprus-based student currently preparing for her TQUK Level 6 Diploma in Accounting and Finance at the School of Professional Studies of Cyprus College. The BKR Scholarship program awards $3,000 to students which goes towards the cost of obtaining an accounting credential in their country.

Feedback from the conference has been very positive and it gave delegates a unique opportunity to network and build relationships with their fellow members in other territories.
