6th International Compliance Forum: Audit Now and in the Future

IMH is organising the 6th International Compliance Forum on 24-25 September 2020 to discuss the latest developments and trends in corporate governance, and the current challenges facing the global compliance and ethics community. The event will run online.

Τhis year’s forum will focus on the challenges and opportunities that are expected to revolutionise the compliance function over the next decade. The 6th International Compliance Forum will welcome a number of high calibre international speakers who will discuss how the compliance function has progressed over the years, and exchange views on how organisations can use their compliance function to enable change and offer their business the competitive advantage it needs.

One of this year’s speakers is the Executive Director of Governance at ACCA, Maggie McGhee. She has responsibility for both ACCA’s corporate governance arrangements and the governance of ACCA members and students. A chartered accountant with a degree in law, McGhee trained with the UK National Audit Office and was their Director General of Audit prior to joining the ACCA. In her presentation, McGhee will discuss how the audit expectation gap could be bridged between stakeholders and external auditors.

Audit developed to provide trust and confidence in financial information that underpins a vibrant economy is just as relevant today as it always has been. But the information people look to trust, and the way businesses compile it, has changed and so audit needs to evolve.

Full participation corresponds up to 5 CPD units. For more information regarding the event, please click here.
