Additionally, the Minster provided comprehensive answers to the issues upon which he was called to answer, including the possible creation of a sub-ministry of Shipping, the preliminary work done in this respect in order to be duly prepared for immediate assumption of duties, the high quality level of shipping and related services offered by our country, the development prospects and the government objectives to further develop this sector as well as the measures taken by the government to support young people who wish to enter the industry, such as establishing availability of technical studies, information programs and available subsidies.
Furthermore, the Minister, when asked about the advice he would give the young people who want to succeed in this industry and more generally, stated that in order to make a difference, it takes hard work, determination, patience, perseverance, thinking out of the box and continually surpassing your limits.
It is also worth noting, that the Minister expressed his apparent support and congratulated the production of the radio show for this initiative, as he strongly believes in the skills of the younger generation, as he has previously declared himself that one of the reasons he accepted the position of Minister was to prove that young people have a lot to give!
