9th Cyprus-Russia Gala Concludes to Success

9th Cyprus-Russia Gala Concludes to Success

The 9th Cyprus-Russia Gala concluded to great success under the High Patronage of the First Lady of the Republic of Cyprus, Andri Anastasiades on September 12. Held in the gardens of the Presidential Palace in Nicosia, the annual event offers the Cypriot and Russian communities the opportunity to appreciate their close ties and brings together cultural, political and business figures from both countries.

The Gala was attended by in excess of 600 guests, an endorsement of its popularity among the communities. Among the VIP guests were President Nicos Anastasiades, first Lady Andri Anastasiades, Archbishop of Cyprus Chrysostomos II, and Minister of Education and Culture Professor Costas Kadis. As in previous years, they were joined by numerous heads of Cypriot, Russian and international companies based in Cyprus.

Other than its cultural and diplomatic importance, the event once again supported the Radiomarathon Foundation, a leading Cypriot charity which supports children with special needs.

The star-studded line-up for the Cyprus-Russia Gala 2015 included the prima ballerina Svetlana Zakharova, the ensemble Bayan Mix, celebrated Russian singers Alexandra Vorobieva and Anton Belyaev with band Therr Maitz, group Diastasis and popular Cypriot singers John Karayannis, Maria - Elena Kiriakou and  Doros Demosthenous.

The Gala was organised and presented by Ensemble Productions Ltd, and sponsored by Interros Group, which plays an active role in supporting humanitarian projects in Russia and Cyprus.
