TUS Airways Welcomes its Sixth Jet

TUS Airways Welcomes its Sixth Jet

Cyprus-based TUS Airways further expands its fleet with the acquisition of its fourth Fokker 70 Jet. The new Fokker 70 Jet, the sixth aircraft of the company’s fleet that includes four Fokker 70 and two Fokker 100 Jets, arrived in Larnaca airport just before the New Year and was welcomed in a festive ceremony attended by TUS’ employees.

As per its business plan, TUS Airways has upgraded its fleet with the purchase of six Fokker Jets which replaced the three Saab 2000 Turbo Prop airplanes the airline was leasing and served it in its first steps. The acquisition of the Fokker Jets signifies another step for the company to achieve its objectives as they will be used for the current and new planned routes that the growing airline is flying to, such as Rome, Athens, Ioannina, Alexandroupoli, Patras-Araxos and Tel Aviv.

The Fokker Jets produced by the Dutch aircraft manufacturer were chosen following careful examination to meet TUS Airways’ impeccable standards, needs, goals and support its expansion strategy, as well as offer passengers the best possible comfort and service. The Fokker 70 and 100 Jets have a capacity of 80 and 100 passengers respectively, offering them a relaxing flight experience, spacious leg room and fast boarding. They are highly regarded as efficient, reliable, flexible and fast aircrafts and aside TUS Airways it is an aircraft of choice and indispensable part of the fleet of prestigious airlines.

TUS Airways was established two years ago by experienced aviation managers and investors and offers a new airline model in the region. "Τhe Ultimate Schedule” is the philosophy of the company, which aims to connect Cyprus with countries in the Eastern Mediterranean and Europe via frequent flights, offering high comfort on board, convenient timetable, best service and competitive pricing, while passengers enjoy the convenience that TUS Airways has become synonymous with.

TUS Airways has its main base at Larnaca International Airport and plans to operate flights to 16 various destinations in 2018.
