The ‘New Normal’ – What Is It And What Does It Mean For Pensions And Provident Funds?

IMH and Aon are organising the 11th Pension and Provident Funds Forum on Wednesday 25, November 2020 at the Hilton Nicosia (formerly Hilton Park) in Nicosia, Cyprus.

Pensions are an important indicator of the development and the economy of all countries. The financial challenges and emergency measures that governments have taken to address the recent pandemic have contributed to lower than expected investment returns on pension stocks. In order to avoid destroying the long-term value of pension stocks, governments all over the world need to implement various pension reforms.

The 11th Pension and Provident Funds Forum, entitled “The New Normal – What is it and what does it mean for Pensions and Provident Funds?” will address the concerns around every pension and provident fund and inform delegates about the important developments that have taken place the past year and the next steps regarding the implications of the pandemic for investment.

Specifically, the topics to be covered at this year’s Forum are:

The role of infrastructure in post-COVID recovery plans and the impact of stimulus on valuations

The New Normal: How will the Cyprus Pension system look in the future? Provident Funds and Pensions: The Next Steps

Market Developments, Asset Class Performance and Economy Outlook

Implications of COVID-19 for Real Return Investing

Responsible Investment

A new Investment approach for a new decade – how long-term strategies can weather short-term storms

Financial Wellbeing

The Forum is addressed to provident and pension fund management committees, asset managers, consultants, banking sector representatives, lawyers, legal advisors, accountants, internal and external auditors, financial managers, Cyprus authorities and governmental representatives.

The conference will be conducted in English and Greek. For more information regarding the event, click here.
