Cyprus Shipping Participates in European Shipping Meeting

The European Community Shipowners’ Associations (ECSA), representing the national shipowners’ associations of the European Union, held its Board of Directors Meeting on 7 March 2018 in Brussels, where the Director General of the Shipping Chamber, Thomas A. Kazakos, represented the Cyprus Shipping Industry as part of the Cyprus delegation.

During the ECSA’s Board of Directors meeting, the main issues discussed were the way forward with regard to the Strategy shaping the future of the European Shipowners Association, as well as safety and environment issues concerning green-house gas emissions and ship recycling. Additionally, the Board discussed important recent developments on shipowning matters affecting shipping policy.
