Cyprus FinTech Expo 3.0: RegTech Vs FinTech

Cyprus FinTech Expo 3.0: RegTech Vs FinTech

IMH presents the 3rd edition of Cyprus FinTech Expo, which is to take place on Thursday, 16 January 2020, at Hilton Nicosia (formerly Hilton Park), in Cyprus. The event combines a variety of conference presentations and an exposition of the latest disrupting technologies in the world of financial services, providing a unique experience.

Distinguished professionals from the ecosystem of FinTech, both from Cyprus and abroad, will share with us their personal experiences and talk about the new trends in the field and how these will shape the world of FinTech in 2020 and beyond. Among the trends that will mostly affect the industry is the RegTech, considered by many as the new FinTech.

One of this year’s Expo distinguished speakers is Christos Ttiniozou, Managing Director of iSPIRAL, who will talk about the intersection of Regulation and Financial Disruption. During his presentation, Mr Ttiniozou will explain how the RegTech Framework and the Regulators are affected by the fact that the FinTech sector is shifting its focus from the digitization of money to the monetization of data. Christos Ttiniozou has been focusing - over the past 20 years - on how to help organizations comply with regulatory obligations through the use of technology. With studies and work experience in the USA and Cyprus, Christos is responsible for formulating the strategic vision of iSPIRAL in developing an End-to-End KYC, AML & Fraud Solution to comprehensively address the compliance objectives and obligations set by regulators worldwide. iSPIRAL is a leading software vendor providing KYC, AML, Fraud, Risk and Compliance Software Solutions with main focus on markets such as Banks, Investment firms, Insurance firms, Forex, Electronic Money Institutions, Audit and Legal firms.

The event will be conducted in English. For more information on this year’s Expo, please click here.

The Cyprus FinTech Expo 3.0 is expected to have an attendance of approximately 400+ individuals. On the sidelines of the Expo, participants will have the opportunity to network with like-minded peers and professionals from the local market. These will include Board Members, Partners, Chief Executive Officers (CEOs), Chief Financial Officers (CFOs), Chief Operating Officers (COOs), Managing Directors, General Managers, Finance Managers, IT Managers, Fund Managers from the following: Commercial and retail banks operating in Cyprus, Insurance companies, Investment firms, as well as forex brokers, Fund companies and asset management firms including pension funds, UCITS and AIFs, FinTech companies, ICT companies, E-commerce companies, Retail industry, Regulatory bodies and governmental services.
