11th Nicosia Economic Congress

11th Nicosia Economic Congress

IMH, in association with the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC), presents the 11th Nicosia Economic Congress on Tuesday, 20 April 2021 at the Hilton Nicosia and digitally. Τhe Congress aims to contribute to the creation of a long-term vision for sustainable development and prosperity in Cyprus and to be the starting point for a new beginning and the restart of the economy.

This one-day event will bring together influential and innovative minds from all sectors as well as government officials and decision/policymakers, who will analyze and discuss the current state of the Cypriot economy and share their own views and suggestions concerning the overall vision for a sustainable economy and how this vision can be achieved in their particular area of activity.

Among this year’s keynote speakers is Constantinos Herodotou, Governor of the Central Bank of Cyprus, who will examine the current state of the banking system and the challenges facing it. Herodotou, a member of the Governing Council of the European Central Bank, previously served as an Executive Director on the CBC Board (2017-2019) and as Commissioner for Privatisation (2014-2017). Before moving to Cyprus in 2014, most of his career was in investment banking at UBS Investment Bank in London. Constantinos Herodotou holds an MBA from London Business School and a BSc in Economics from University College London.
