Nicosia Hosts Parliamentary Meeting between Cyprus, Greece and Egypt

Nicosia hosts on Monday, February 11 the first trilateral meeting of House of Representatives Presidents between Greece, Egypt and Cyprus.

House of Rerepresentatives President Demetris Syllouris is set to host his counterparts from Greece Nicolaos Voutsis and Egypt Ali Abdel Aal in a meeting which will focus on regional cooperation as well as energy, tourism and education and culture.

The meeting which will start in the morning will conclude its work with the adoption of a Joint Statement of the three Speakers at 12.15 hours local time (0915 GMT) who will also make statements to the press.

Syllouris will then host an official lunch in honour of Voutsis and Aal, the Cyprus News Agency reports.+

During the conference Cypriot experts have been invited to make presentations on matters such as energy and regional cooperation in the Mediterranean, the prospects of regional tourism cooperation between the three countries, how to combat the illicit trade of cultural artifacts and the promotion of teaching the Arabic language.
