New Cabinet Announcement

New Cabinet Announcement

President Anastasiades announced on Tuesday 13 February the composition of his new cabinet for the next five years. Existing ministers, yet additional faces have joined the new cabinet, where the previous Deputy Government Spokesman Victor Papadopoulos announced.  The new Cabinet is as follows:

Minister for Foreign Affairs: Nikos Christodoulides.

Minister of Finance: Harris Georgiades.

Minister of the Interior: Constantinos Petrides.

Minister of Defense:  Savvas Angelides.

Minister of Education and Culture:  Costas Chambiaouris.

Minister of Transport, Communications and Works: Vassiliki Anastasiadou.

Minister of Energy, Commerce, Industry and Tourism: Yiorgos Lakkotrypis.

Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and the Environment: Costas Kadis.

Minister of Labor, Welfare and Social Insurance:  Zeta Emilianidou.

Minister of Justice and Public Order: Ionas Nicolaou.

Minister of Health: Constantinos Ioannou.

Deputy Minister to the President: Vassilis Palmas.

Deputy Minister of Shipping: Natasa Pilides.

Government Spokesman: Prodromos Prodromou.

 

The President of the Republic has also appointed the following appointments:

Director of the Office of the President of the Republic: Petros Demetriou.

Deputy Government Spokesman: Klelia Vassiliou.

Presidential Commissioner: Fotis Photiou.

Commissioner for the Environment: Ioanna Panayiotou

Commissioner for Volunteerism and Non-Governmental Organizations: Yannis Yiannakis.

Commissioner for Gender Equality: Iosifina Antoniou.
