Kotzias: Anastasiades’ Proposals are Very Interesting

The Foreign Minister of Greece Nikos Kotzias has found the proposals of Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades the best way to move forward in order to reunify Cyprus, divided since the Turkish invasion of 1974, "very interesting."

Kotzias, who is paying Cyprus a visit, was received by Cyprus President at the Presidential Palace in the early evening, the Cyprus News Agency reports.

In statements after the meeting Kotzias said that "I had a meeting with the President of the Republic, who informed me of his latest proposals," adding that "they are very interesting."

"We discussed the relations between Greece and Cyprus, we discussed how to find the best way to promote a solution of the Cyprus problem, as regards certainly its external aspect which is connected with Greece`s status on the basis of international law," he added.
