Substantial Increase In Investment Fund Assets For December 2019

The Central Bank of Cyprus has released yesterday the Investment Funds statistics for the reference month of December 2019.

Τhe number of investment funds increased to 178, compared with 166 in September 2019, while their total assets grew substantially, by approximately 7%, to €6.093,6 million in December 2019, compared with €5.686,3 million in September 2019.

The data also show that the loans taken by investment funds during the period September-December 2019 decreased from €789 million to €685,8 million.

Further analysis of the data show that from the €6 billion of total assets, €2,4 billion where invested in equity, €177,7 million in bonds, €610,7 million in real estate, €617,2 million in mixed stock exchange products and €2, 13 billion in other investments.
