Revenue from Tourism for September 2019

On the basis of the results of the Passenger Survey released by CyStat, revenue from tourism reached €377,2 mn in September 2019 compared to €378,8 mn in the corresponding month of the previous year, recording a decrease of 0,4%.

For the period of January – September 2019 revenue from tourism is estimated at €2.234,0 mn compared to €2.268,5 mn in the corresponding period of 2018, recording a decrease of 1,5%.

The expenditure per person for September 2019 reached €718,81 compared to €728,23 in the corresponding month of the previous year, recording a decrease of 1,3%. The expenditure per person/per day for September 2019 compared to September 2018 recorded an increase of 3,0% (from €76,66 to €78,99). A decrease of 4,2% was recorded in the average length of stay, from 9,5 days in September 2018 to 9,1 days in September 2019.

The expenditure per person for the period of January – September 2019 reached €685,15 compared to €700,21 in the corresponding period of the previous year, recording a decrease of 2,2%. The expenditure per person/per day for the period of January – September 2019 compared to the period of January – September 2018 recorded an increase of 1,1% (from €75,29 to €76,13).
