Exports in January 2019 Reach €532M

On the basis of preliminary estimates for the foreign trade of Cyprus in January 2019, total imports were €803.6 mn as compared to €621.9 mn in January 2018. Imports from other EU Member States in January 2019 were €363.3 mn as compared to €382.8 mn in January 2018. Imports from Third Countries in January 2019 were €440.3 mn as compared to €239.0 mn in January 2018. 

Total exports in January 2019 were €532.0 mn as compared to €205.5 mn in January 2018. Exports to other EU Member States in January 2019 were €437.4 mn as compared to €89.5 mn in January 2018. Exports to Third Countries in January 2019 were €94.6 mn as compared to €116.0 mn in January 2018.

Total imports in January 2019 include the transfer of economic ownership of mobile transport equipment (vessels), with total value of €296.5 mn. as compared to €70.0 mn in January 2018. Total exports in January 2019 include the transfer of economic ownership of mobile transport equipment (vessels), with total value of €409.0 mn. as compared to €20.4 mn in January 2018.
