30.5% Increase in Registration of Motor Vehicles

The Statistical Service has announced the publication of the report “REGISTRATION OF MOTOR VEHICLES” for the period January-August 2017. The report contains figures for the registrations of motor vehicles by category, fuel used, make, type of duty, engine cubic capacity and unladen weight.

In January-August 2017 the total registrations of motor vehicles increased by 30.5% to 29,033, from 22,250 in the corresponding period of 2016.

The registrations of passenger saloon cars increased by 30.4% to 23,996, from 18,399 in January-August 2016.
