STEP Cyprus Celebrates Student Excellence

STEP Cyprus Celebrates Student Excellence

Cyprus is well represented among STEP’s student award winners in its new scheme to recognise student achievement at a worldwide level.

The new Worldwide Excellence Awards are given to the top-scoring students for each STEP exam, plus the highest scoring graduates across each of STEP’s Diplomas, aggregated across the four papers taken. These awards will be presented twice a year.

The current award winners represent the top achievers across all of STEP’s exams for the period 1 July - 31 December 2015. The top-scoring students for the period 1 January - 30 June 2016 will be announced in November 2016.

Bella Sovmiz, formerly of Marcuard Trust (Cyprus) Ltd, was among the 38 honoured, achieving a high score in the STEP Advanced Certificate in Trustee Investment & Financial Appraisal – Online (DL+).

As the worldwide professional association for those advising families across generations, STEP offers training and development to an extensive global network of trust and estate practitioners.

‘Education is at the heart of what STEP does and we pride ourselves on setting high standards globally through our exams and qualifications,’ said Nigel Race, STEP’s Director of Professional Development. ‘Our winners should be very proud of achieving the top mark in their studies and we are delighted to recognise their accomplishment through these Awards,’ he added.

About STEP qualifications

STEP runs a number of qualifications for those who advise on wealth administration and succession, including Certificates, Advanced Certificates and Diplomas with our primary education partner CLT International. Students need to gain a specific number of credits via examination or prior experience in order to become a STEP Affiliate, a STEP Technician or a ‘TEP’ (Trust and Estate Practitioner) – the designation granted to a Full Member of STEP.
