Skandalis: The Cyprus Integrity Forum Aims to Promote Transparency

Transparency International Cyprus has transformed into the new Cyprus Integrity Forum, an organisation which continues its actions on the principles of Transparency, Integrity and Ethics which have been set as the foundations of the organisation since the day it started in 2010 to this day.

Speaking about the operations and the new name of the organisation, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Marios Skandalis, assured that “The Cyprus Integrity Forum will continue its strong action with more national and international partnerships, more programs to be implemented, such as conferences, seminars, lectures in schools and universities as well as meetings with state and EU officials and ambassadors.”

The unchanged goal of the organisation remains to improve knowledge, to inform the public about corruption and to promote integrity and transparency in the public and private professional sector.

Skandalis also mentioned that the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI), by decision of 20th March 2018, has placed the Cyprus Integrity Forum under its auspices. Within the framework of their long-term cooperation, the two organisations co-organise the Business Ethics Awards. The aim of this initiative, said the Chairman of the Cyprus Integrity Forum, is to cultivate the right culture for companies and organisations to adopt responsible practices for social and moral commitment to corruption.

The winners will be awarded on May 23, 2018 and the ceremony will be attended by the President of the Republic, Nicos Anastasiades.
