Sailing in Solidarity: FHG in Association with LNC Organizes Fameline Offshore Sailing Regatta on 28th and 29th September 2019

Sailing in Solidarity: FHG in Association with LNC Organizes Fameline Offshore Sailing Regatta on 28th and 29th September 2019

In support of its “Heri me Heri” Foundation, FHG will once again serve as proud organizer of the now annual sailing race.

The two-day event is due to come to fruition with the proud support of Fameline Holding Group, a multifarious conglomerate composed of some 38 companies active across a variety of sectors (chiefly, maritime, oil and gas pursuits, alongside new areas of exploration, including healthcare and ICT), which is headquartered in Limassol.

Composed of a bounty of activities, the Fameline Offshore Sailing Regatta is a prime opportunity to help encourage young athletes to hone their skills, feel proud of the sailing community to which they belong, and aspire to ever-betterment, embracing the challenge of evolution.

Following the OPAP Pancyprian Offshore Sailing Championship – Round D on Saturday, September 28, a dedicated BBQ reception will be hosted for the participating young athletes and esteemed guests, associates, customers and friends of FHG along with a beach party at the Fat Fish restaurant / Limassol Nautical Club (LNC) front beach, and live concert featuring “The Big Band” and Greek Band “Onirama”.

Meanwhile, Sunday, September 29, will witness two Offshore Sailing Boat Races, an Open Regatta and a Corporate Regatta, and Kids Beach Activities following, Summer Cocktails in the tunes of Macumba Jazz band, at the Nautical Club seafront, and – finally – a prize giving ceremony to culminate the weekend.

Inspired, FHG founder and managing partner, Mr. Adamos Seraphides, established the Heri me Heri Foundation in 2010, in a bid to share the power of this commitment with the wider societies within which FHG operates.

Greek for ‘hand in hand’, Heri me Heri aspires to support families with children under the age of 18, who are experiencing financial difficulties or suffering from health issues. Proceeds from the Fameline Offshore Sailing Regatta 2019 will be heartily given to Heri me Heri’s pursuits.

Of FHG’s organizer of the Sailing Regatta, Mr. Seraphides explained: “FHG, and – by extension – our Heri me Heri Foundation, feels a kinship with this event, which drives home the message that strength is derived from solidarity, and that there is might to be found in allowing one’s self the opportunity to metamorphose.”

Continuing, Mr. Seraphides expressed: “We are excited to be able to give back to the community in such a meaningful and engaging capacity, and are confident of how successful the 2019 edition of the Offshore Sailing Regatta will prove to be!”
