Lucy Adams: Leading HR in a Disrupted World

Lucy Adams: Leading HR in a Disrupted World
Lucy Adams, CEO at The Disruptive HR Agency and Ex-HR Director at BBC, UK, will be in Cyprus exclusively at The 16th Leadership & HR Management Conference, organized by IMH and PwC Cyprus, on Tuesday, 14 November 2017 at the Hilton Park Hotel in Nicosia. The conference carries the title: “The Future of Work: skills, automation and people”.

Lucy Adams will be delivering a provocative address entitled «Leading HR in a Disrupted World», presenting a dilemma facing the vast majority of businesses today – the way we attract, manage and engage our people, since this isn’t good enough for today’s world, in order to let alone tomorrow’s. The audience is taken through an alternative approach based on EACH model – treating Employees as Adults, Consumers and Human beings. This presentation is packed with practical examples of how using this can increase productivity, engagement and innovation.

Lucy Adams created Disruptive HR after having held senior level HR roles in a variety of sectors, most recently at the BBC. She grew frustrated with the lack of innovation and fresh thinking in the profession and wanted to find new ways of tackling old problems. Lucy talks about some of the biggest challenges facing HR functions and leaders today. Using the BBC as a case study, she provides fresh insights and practical tools to help HR and leaders cope with the demands of a volatile world.

The objective of the 16th Leadership & Human Resource Management Conference is to discuss the important issues facing organizations in a rapidly changing environment, in order to stay up-to date with developments. This conference is one of the biggest gatherings of C-level executives in Cyprus and its aim is to examine the latest developments and absorb expertise and knowledge from around the world regarding issues of Business Leadership, Organisational Effectiveness, Human Resource Management, and the importance of up-skilling employees in order to be future-proof, as well as matters related to the growing impact of technology.

Apart from Lucy Adams, this year’s event will feature other distinguished speakers in the field as well, such as:
· Philippos Soseilos, Head of Human Capital, Partner, PwC Cyprus
· Charles Lawrence Oldroyd, Global HR Manager, Danone, Netherlands
· Kyriacos Kokkinos, Executive Director, Digital Consulting Services, PwC Cyprus
· Michelle Rodding, Talent Acquisition Specialist, Mondelēz International, UK
