GOLD Magazine: The Investment Issue

GOLD Magazine: The Investment Issue

The importance of Foreign Direct Investment to an economy like that of Cyprus cannot be overstated and it is important to understand that such investment goes beyond injections of capital and covers the importation and transfer of technology, knowledge and skills, which lead to more local jobs, increase competition and help raise standards. Successive governments in Cyprus have wisely taken a pro-business and pro-investment stance and Invest Cyprus (formerly the Cyprus Investment Promotion Agency – CIPA) has been extremely active in promoting Cyprus as an attractive destination for FDI and, indeed, company headquartering. The cover story of the latest issue of GOLD (published on Sunday, April 21) features interviews with those directly involved in working with foreign investors (Michalis P. Michael, Chairman and George Campanellas, Director-General of Invest Cyprus), Finance Minister Harris Georgiades, several investors (including Melco Chairman and CEO Lawrence Ho and Parimatch CEO Sergey Portnov) and presents the views of numerous professionals on the Cyprus Investment Programme and the importance of FDI.

The cover story is accompanied by a multi-page promotional supplement featuring firms involved in the Cyprus Investment Fund industry, ahead of the next Cyprus Headquartering and Funds Summit which takes place in Tel Aviv, Israel on May 6, 2019. This, plus all the usual popular features – My Way, They Said What?, Five Minutes, Time Off, Business Class, In Good Company, Lunch with Gold, A Day in the Life – and more are in the latest issue of GOLD, available from Sunday, April 21 in both print and digital versions.
