GOLD Magazine: Diplomatic Talk

GOLD Magazine: Diplomatic Talk

Countries around the world have been exchanging and hosting foreign Ambassadors since the 15th century and their role in today’s globalised, shrinking world is as important as it ever was. While a key responsibility of the Ambassador is to provide assistance and, where needed, protection to his/her own citizens abroad, each country’s highest representative is expected to promote friendly relations with the host nation and, increasingly, to encourage and promote trade between it and his/her own. Ambassadors to Cyprus are also in a position to offer a different perspective on our country’s problems while, at the same time, gaining a better insight into how both local issues and those concerning their own homeland are viewed by Cypriots and other residents of the island.

The cover story of the March 17 issue of GOLD features exclusive interviews with four Ambassadors and two High Commissioners to Cyprus, in which they share their views on the island and its relations with their countries, while answering questions on some of the main national issues of concern to them.

This issue of GOLD also features interviews with a broad range of people involved in international and local business, including John Christodoulou, Founder and CEO of the London-based Yianis Group.

Don’t miss the next issue of GOLD, available from Sunday, March 17 in both print and digital versions.
