Glenfiddich, The Most Awarded Single Malt Scotch, Hosts Dinner in Cyprus

Glenfiddich, the most awarded Single Malt Scotch Whisky in the World, is not a whisky to take lightly. That’s why when Struan Grant Ralph announced he was hosting of a prestigious dinner at the Pralina Experience in Nicosia to limited invitees, people rushed to participate.

The lavish three course dinner was elegantly and aptly paired to Glenfiddich’s signature aromas, over three of its expressions. Struan himself, was dashing and daring. He spoke avidly about the Glenfiddich brand and made introductions to each course, reciting as if poetry his teachings on each Glenfiddich expression introduced.

As an appetizer, the Twelve Year Old Malt was paired with a magnificent Scottish salmon tartare with fresh pears. The combination was a culmination of a fresh and fruity harmony dancing against the pallet. 

As a main course, the Eighteen Year Old Malt matched perfectly with the Iberico pork and vegetable fregola. An antithesis to the starter, this more sophisticated serving distinguished itself through an overture of the senses. Warm, full bodied, and effusive, the tender meat urged its connoisseur to wash it down with long gulp of Glenfiddich whisky.

The apex of the evening arrived in parfait form. The dessert, paired with the Fifteen Year Old Malt, was as sweet and cunning, as delicate and delightful, as any. A vanilla Parfait with caramelized almonds bathed in caramel dressing was married to the Scotch beautifully. The Parfait’s sweetness was generously accentuated by the Fifteen Year Old’s own. A perfect end to a perfect meal.

At the dinner’s conclusion Vasilis Petrides, CEO of Laiko Cosmos Trading, thanked guests for their presence and cooperation, emphasizing the upcoming development of the brand Glenfiddich, as well as the rest of the portfolio of William Grant & Sons.
