Audit Challenges and Dilemmas: 3rd Annual IIA Cyprus Conference

Following the great success of the 2nd Cyprus Internal Audit Forum in May 2017, the Cyprus Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA Cyprus) hosts the 3rd conference in a row, titled ‘Audit Challenges and Dilemmas’, on Thursday 24th of May, at the Hilton Park Hotel in Nicosia.

Distinguished speakers from Cyprus and abroad will be analyzing subjects such as: ‘The Changing Face of Internal Audit in Europe’, ‘Today's applications of Analytics in Internal Audit’, ‘Audit Dilemmas and Audit Transformation’, ‘New expectations from Audit Committees’, ‘Effective Communication in Internal Audit’, etc.

The keynote speaker of the conference will be Farid Aractingi, President of the European Confederation of Institutes Internal Auditing (ECIIA). Other speakers will be Nick Parker, President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), Karem Obeid, Board Member of ΙΙΑ Global, Doron Rozenblum, Vice President of ΙΙΑ Israel, Chrysostomos Kridiotis, Business Consulting Services Director of Logicom Solutions,n Martyn Scrivens, Internal Audit Panel Chairman of ICAEW, and Onisiforos A. Onisiforou, ex-President of IIA Cyprus.

The conference is addressed to professional Members of IIA Cyprus, European and other Institutes, Internal Auditors, CFOs, CEOs, Managing Directors, Chairmen and Board Members, Audit Committee Members, and members of other related professional bodies. The conference will be conducted in English.

IIA was founded in 1998. Today it has more than 550 members and is governed by an elected Management Board of 10 members, which is supported by four sub-committees. The vision of IIA Cyprus is to be the fundamental institution that represents, promotes and upgrades the Internal Audit profession in Cyprus. Its mission is the continuous promotion and recognition of the profession, as well as the enrichment of its members’ knowledge and skills, by providing relevant educational and training courses.
