Andrew Tinney to Join Wargaming as CFO

Andrew Tinney, outgoing Partner of KPMG Singapore will soon join Cyprus-based online gaming developer Wargaming, as the firm’s Chief Financial Officer.

Tinney made reference to his previously unannounced appointment at Emergo Wealth’s 2nd Investment Expert Conference, held on Friday September 18 at the Hilton Park in Nicosia, where he explored the global investment outlook.

Wargaming is an award-winning online game developer and publisher and one of the leaders in the free-to-play MMO market. Founded as a privately held company in 1998, Wargaming has shipped more than 15 titles. 

Currently, Wargaming is focused on its team-based MMO war series dedicated to the mid-20th century warfare that will include the armored World of Tanks, the flight combat World of Warplanes, and the naval World of Warships. The three intertwined titles will form a common gaming universe integrated within the portal www.wargaming.net.

Tinney has almost thirty years of experience working with and for some of the leading financial institutions around the globe. His past prominent roles within the industry include that of Partner of KPMG and the Chief Executive of its South East Asian consulting practice, Chief Operating Officer of Wealth and Investment Management at Barclays, Chief Financial Officer of Deutsche Bank in the UK, Chief Financial Officer of Deutsche Bank in Asia Pacific, and Partner of Deloitte.

He was educated at the London School of Economics and is also a Chartered Accountant.
