2nd Cyprus Anti-Fraud Conference: Learn How to Prevent and Combat Fraud from EY Experts

IMH and the Cyprus Chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), are organizing the 2nd Cyprus Anti-Fraud Conference on Friday, March 15, 2019 at the Hilton Park Hotel, Nicosia. The event, presented by Bank of Cyprus, aims to contribute to a healthier business ecosystem by promoting cooperation, communication and collaboration. The Conference will host a stellar lineup of international speakers who will present the industry’s latest developments. They will also share their insights and knowledge of modern fraud avoidance techniques and present recent case studies of successful anti-fraud practices, as a means to improve trust, transparency and accountability in the wider spectrum of the services industry.

Three such speakers and members of EY, one of the sponsors of this year’s event, will share their invaluable insights and knowledge with the audience. Amongst them is Nicolas Pavlou, Associate Partner in the Financial Services Audit-Forensics – Integrity department in EY, Cyprus, who will talk about the EY Global Fraud Survey with a focus on Cyprus-specific results. The second speaker from EY’s arsenal of experts is Matt Reed, Senior Manager in the Compliance Technology Advisory department of EY, UK. Reed will talk about technology and financial crime and the way analytics can be used to combat suspicious activities and fraud. Last, but not least, Manuel Delgado Colmenero, Executive Director in the Risk department of EY, Spain, will talk about digital identities and how their proper management is paramount to ensure that payment services are no longer misused by cyber-criminals.
