Prodromou: OCCRP Report Acknowledges that Cyprus President did not Break the Law

The report of OCCRP (Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project) acknowledges from the beginning that the President of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiades has no relation to any violations of law, Government Spokesman Prodromos Prodromou said on Wednesay, August 21, the Cyprus News Agency reports.

Prodromou was asked after the Cabinet meeting, in Troodos, to comment on an OCCRP announcement, saying that a story published on August 14 “cannot constitute libel, as it relates only facts backed by documented evidence” while standing by its reporting.

“As noted in the announcement of this organisation, from the beginning they themselves say verbatim that the President of the Republic – I am not talking about any law office – has nothing to do with breaking the law” Prodromou said.
