BookYourWeddingDay.com Wins Gold And Bronze At The Cyprus Tourism Awards 2020

BookYourWeddingDay.com, the first and only international online tourism platform for booking wedding dates and ceremony times instantly, was honoured with two prizes at the Cyprus Tourism Awards 2020. The innovative platform received a Gold Award in the ‘Travel Offering’ category (for wedding tourism) and a Bronze Award in the ‘Strategy and Innovation’ category (for technology enhanced concept, product, service, experience).

The ceremony was held at Nicosia’s Lemon Park on Wednesday, September 23, with the  prestigious awards aiming to highlight and promote quality of services and innovation in the Cyprus tourism industry, while honouring the companies that stand out for their top-notch practices and initiatives.

Founder and CEO of BookYourWeddingDay.com, Maria Evripides, stated: "We are very grateful for these honorary awards, especially this year, which has been extremely challenging for the tourism sector and the economy of our country as a whole due to the unprecedented Covid-19 pandemic. We are cautiously optimistic about the future, given that during the lockdown period, our team managed to assist couples and agents with the rescheduling of their 2020 bookings to 2021 and 2022. Our priority is to continue supporting the involved parties in the wedding tourism market, while contributing to the development of wedding tourism in Cyprus and the economy as a whole, via our innovative services".

BookYourWeddingDay.com, the first and only innovative international online booking platform for civil weddings which offers Real-Time Availability and delivers Instant Confirmation of wedding dates and ceremony times at the featured venues, has enabled more than 12.000 couples to book their wedding in Cyprus and Greece.

Although it launched operations in Cyprus as a start-up in 2017, it successfully created a new global market, following the “Blue Ocean Strategy”. BookYourWeddingDay.com has established collaborations with many municipalities, hotels, and other licensed wedding venues, as well as global tour operators such as the giant TUI, contributing to the growth of the local economy and enhancement of the tourism industry.
